We’ll “saddle up” to the weekend on Friday night with some wild karaoke, then we’ll be serving a gallon-hat-full of fun events on Saturday. Play some Texas Hold ‘Em for your chance to win a great prize. Enjoy a glass of beer or wine with friends under the shade in the  beautiful outdoors. Listen to live poolside music throughout the afternoon with our very own “Nearly Willie,” Rod, joined by Michele. Enjoy the myriad of other regular activities we offer: water volleyball, tennis, knitting, hiking, etc. Or just sit by the pool, or under a shade tree, and relax. Then, dance the night away on Saturday night, beginning at 8:30pm, to the great sounds of NITRO EXPRESS Band! They’re top rate and have performed at various casinos and clubs throughout Southern California, including Pala. The Ultimate Elvis Experience is back by popular demand. Charlie Franks performed for us over Memorial Weekend, and he amazed us all with his unbelievable talent, kicking off a totally awesome summer. Now he’ll help us bring it all to a fabulous close by starting our Labor Day Weekend with his extended ultimate show.  This will be followed by a rockin’ DJ Dance with Rod Marshall.  The rest of the weekend will feature: band dances on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon with Icons and Summit Bands, respectively; two days of beautiful afternoon poolside music with Sebastian Sidi (Saturday) and Larry Stevens (Monday); an awesome show on Sunday night featuring Michael John as Billy Joel, followed by a DJ Dance Party with DJ Gary & Sue; Youth Events; Tournaments for Water Volleyball, Cribbage,  and Pool; Sun Singles Meeting and Potluck (Saturday 11am); Beer & Wine Garden (also Saturday 11am); Karaoke on Monday night, and more!

From August 15 through August 18, in the year 1969, 500,000 concert-goers attended a music festival on a 600-acre dairy farm in the town of Bethel, New York, 43 miles southwest of the town of Woodstock, New York.

The 3-day event was listed among Rolling Stone’s “50  Moments that Changed the History of Rock and Roll,” and is highly regarded as one of the greatest and most pivotal moments in popular music history.

Each year, Glen Eden pays tribute to this incredible event by attempting to recreate the magic of Woodstock at “Nudestock, Glen Eden Style.”  This year’s event will be held August 20-22 and will feature:

AANR plans to coordinate skinny-dipping events at participating clubs and legally-sanctioned nude beaches throughout North America on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at 3pm Eastern Nudist Time (12 Noon Glen Eden time) , to coordinate with Nude Recreation Week.

The World Record Skinny Dip event will focus the attention of the world on the joys of wholesome, happy skinny-dipping as an American tradition proudly supported by AANR and recognized by the Guinness World Records Company. Glen Eden plans to hold the Skinny Dip event on July 10 at Noon in our pools and jacuzzi. Come join us for this historical event! For those of you who have not been to Glen Eden before, please make sure you visit our First-Time Visitors page before planning to be a part of the Skinny Dip event.

Although we are a nudist resort and our members and guests enjoy the naturist lifestyle, we understand that it can be challenging for first-time visitors to overcome their misgivings about being clothes-free.  That is why, once per year, in conjunction with National Nude Recreation Week, we hold OPEN HOUSE Weekend at Glen Eden.

On Saturday and Sunday, July 10-11, from 10am until 2pm, you can enjoy Glen Eden in your regular street clothes, to familiarize yourself with our facilities and what we have to offer, with no appointment necessary.  (Only if you choose to take a dip in our pools or jacuzzi would you be required to be nude.) All you need to bring is your driver’s license. Your visit will be free of charge.  Please peruse this website to learn more about what we are all about so you can know what to expect. We are a family nudist resort and have rules in place to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for everyone.  So join us on July 10 or 11–and learn what you’ve been missing all along!

Please note: On July 10, we are also holding a World Record Skinny Dip event.  If you wish to become a participant by  entering into our outdoor pool to contribute to the World Record, you will need to be clothes free. However, participation in the Skinny Dip event is NOT required, so if you choose to remain clothed until you leave at 2pm or earlier, that is perfectly fine with us!
